Here we have Junior High students exploring the Eastern Washington University campus! This was a field trip meant to expose migrant and newcomer students to higher education and to have them learn more about their leadership styles and how this impacts their interaction with others. It also gave them the opportunity to identify potential career choices. They also heard from former migrant students who are now attending the university as part of the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and some of the challenges they face in their journey. They were also given the opportunity to learn how to access scholarships and other resources to help cover the cost to pay for education.

¡Aquí tenemos estudiantes de la secundaria explorando el campus de Eastern Washington University! Este fue un viaje de campo destinado a exponer a los estudiantes inmigrantes y recién llegados a la educación superior y hacer que aprendan más sobre sus estilos de liderazgo y cómo esto afecta su interacción con los demás. También tuvieron la oportunidad de identificar posibles opciones profesionales. También escucharon a ex estudiantes migrantes que ahora asisten a la universidad como parte del Programa de Asistencia Universitaria para Migrantes (CAMP) y algunos de los desafíos que enfrentan en su viaje. También se les dio la oportunidad de aprender cómo acceder a becas y otros recursos para ayudar a cubrir el costo de la educación.
