Saddle Mountain Elementary would like to highlight the Building Leadership Team (BLT) which include Danyka Martin (Gutierrez), Felicia Mayr, Elizabeth Tapia, Marion Javier, Michelle Peralta, and Brenda Aguilar who are leading the work on three main school goals.
The three goals include the areas of reading, math, and family engagement. The staff is working hard to improve our students' reading and math abilities through focused reading groups in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades with the goal that our students leave 3rd grade with the ability to read at grade level. There’s intentional focus on the essential skills necessary for achievement of grade level math concepts.
We have also started our Student Leadership Team for the 2021-22 school year. They worked hard on their campaigns and their grade level peers voted for them. They are: Harper Hubbard, Melanie Campos, Rihanna Cruz, Donovan Arroyo, Lizbeth Gomez, Kairavi Gomez Ledezman.
